He developed Sunshine Ninja Therapy, which incorporated ninja-style obstacle courses to help kids with sensory integration and problem-solving skills. While the program is currently on hold due to other commitments, Kyle dreams of opening a ninja warrior gym in Sarasota, a facility that would provide a much-needed resource for the community.
"These skills teach kids so much more than just physical abilities," Kyle explains. "It's about overcoming obstacles, working as a team, and gaining strength and coordination."
The Challenge of Age
As Kyle reflects on his journey, he acknowledges the challenges that come with aging. Training is no longer as effortless as it once was, and he has had to adapt his approach. He focuses on mastering the basics and maintaining his cardio performance, knowing that he cannot keep up with the younger, more agile competitors.
"It's a tough pill to swallow, but our bodies do age," he says. "I have to be smart about my training now."
A Future on the Horizon
While Kyle won't be applying for the next season due to other goals, he fully intends to return for Season 20. His determination to reach the national finals remains strong, and he believes that his experience and wisdom will give him an edge.
"This journey has been incredible," Kyle concludes. "I never imagined my life would take this path, but I'm grateful for every moment."
